Set a show as "Skipped"

With long running, non-sequential shows I am often unsure if I've seen an episode but would like updates for new episodes airing. With a skipped episode I know I haven't seen it, and can watch at my leisure. It would also prevent distorting the viewed stats, as I wouldn't have to mark it as seen.

The view stats are already broken, because not yet aired episodes are included to the stats/progressbar. This should be fixed, too.

My example is Nova on PBS. I only want to be notified of new shows, not shows I'll never watch from the 1970s. Either that or get rid of the stats section completely.
